Laughter

Is that Laughter I can hear through the door,
A taunting laughter I've heard before.
Is it my brother?
Is it my son?
Or is it death calling for my life?
I am fearful of my situation,
I do not know If I will live or die.
Is it my father laughing?
Is he back from the dead?
Is he here to take me,
To tell me of my death?
I can hear laughter behind my door,
Maniacal and twisted,
And I hear it all.
I do not know what lies behind,
Is it truth or is it lies?
I hear this laughter every night.
